Walking Tour: Haunts of Owensboro. If you have an interest
in touring through the haunted streets of downtown Owensboro
and hearing real tales of haunted history, hangings
and even hoodoo, then you will want to schedule your
tour today.
This
is a walking tour, so comfortable shoes are recommended.
The tour takes roughly 1 ½ hours to complete.
Admission is $10/adults and $5/children 12 and under.
Cash only, please. Tours are currently only given on
Saturdays and fridays begin at The Executive Inn lobby
at 8:00 p.m.

Haunts
of Owensboro was created and designed by David Wolfe,
an aspiring entrepreneur and education student at Brescia
University. David says he came up with the idea to create
a this tour after going on several similar ones in Savannah,
Ga. David says after a lot of research and mentoring
sessions with a friend in New Orleans he just knew it
could be accomplished. “I knew I could do it.”
That determination led him to learn the history, create
the walking route, and craft an interesting and unusual
first-of-a-kind ghost and folklore tour in Owensboro.
Tours are only scheduled on Saturdays and Friday at
this time, but there are hopes to expand it to run all
year round Tuesday through Saturday. David says Owensboro
is full of vibrant energy pertaining to ghostly stories,
and he’s excited about sharing his knowledge during
the ghost walking tour.
